In May, to tackle the heavy waiting list, 8.6 lakh berths were made available in General Second Sitting, Sleeper Class, 2 AC, and 3 AC. This service will continue in June. Eastern Railway has provided a large number of summer special trains to various destinations. These special services will depart from major stations like Howrah, Sealdah, Kolkata, Asansol, Bhagalpur, and Malda Town. In June, Eastern Railway has operated an additional 45 summer special trains from Asansol, Sealdah, Howrah, Kolkata, Bhagalpur, and Malda Town. These services have made 1.486 lakh berths available.
