at 10:25 pm. Simultaneously, the Chennai Central-Nagercoil Junction Vande Bharat Express will leave Chennai Central at 4:15 am, arriving in Nagercoil at 1:50 pm with a stop at Madurai Junction. The return journey starts from Nagercoil Junction at 2:20 pm and reaches Chennai Central at 12:05 am. The official flagging-off ceremony for the Madurai-Bengaluru train may be delayed due to a change in the Prime Minister's schedule. Earlier, the Madurai railway division conducted a speed trial between Madurai and Bodinayakkanur to increase the sectional speed from 100 kmph to 110 kmph.
