The driver parked the tanker right next to the platform near the GRP police station. While the tanker was reversing after drawing water, the platform's stone gave way, causing the tanker to overturn. The tanker's half-overturned position was dangerously close to the tracks just as the Clone Express was about to arrive. Officers quickly changed the platforms for three trains to platform number two. After almost two hours, the tanker was removed using a hydraulic crane, and the damaged part of the platform was repaired. Train operations resumed from this platform after 6:30 PM. The Chief Public Relations Officer, Pankaj Kumar Singh, confirmed an ongoing investigation and promised action against those found responsible.
