Some of the affected sections included Lal Kuan-Kashipur, Lal Kuan-Kathgodam, Pilibhit-Tanakpur, Bhojipura-Pilibhit, and Pilibhit-Shahjanpur. Restoration work was carried out on a war footing, with the Lal Kuan-Kathgodam section restored on July 8th at 4 PM, and the Lal Kuan-Kashipur section restored on July 9th at 6:30 AM. The Pilibhit-Tanakpur section was operational again on July 10th at 8:40 PM. The Bhojipura-Pilibhit section was also undergoing restoration due to a breach caused by the overflowing Devha river. Restoration efforts involved deploying engineers, laborers, and materials to repair the damaged sections. The railway administration emphasizes the importance of adhering to safety guidelines and avoiding unnecessary risks during floods. They also encourage the public to utilize special trains operating during the Shravan month.
