The redevelopment project, envisioned to transform Gorakhpur Junction into a city center, will cater to the needs of passengers, residents, and businesses for the next 50 years. The station's revamp is expected to be completed within three years. The foundation stone for the project was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 7, 2023.

Gorakhpur Junction ko city center banaya ja raha hai, is redevelopment mein aagle 50 saalon ki jaruraton aur facilities ka dhyaan rakha gaya hai. Station ka development passengers, residents aur city ke business ko dhyaan mein rakhte hue ho raha hai. Agle teen saalon mein Gorakhpur Junction ka kaayakalp ho jaayega. Prime Minister Narendra Modi ne 7 July, 2023 ko is redevelopment ki aadhar shilanyas ki thi.
