It is very easy to say scrap Goregaon/Malad locals to accommodate Virar locals but the harsh reality is Virar/Vasai have already received a lot of services at the cost of Goregaon/Malad passengers. Until couple of years back, ample BVI-CCG semi fast services were available from GMN/MDD stations, however to give a clear path to VR locals, most of these services have been downgraded to slow services. So much so that even during morning peak hours, the frequency of fast services at these stations is pathetic especially between 9 & 10 AM.
Further GMN/MDD semifast locals are delayed on a daily basis due to late running of Virar/Vasai locals leading to reduced patronage. Late running VR locals also impact BVI semi fast locals...
more... which impact BVI slow locals ultimately delaying GMN-CCG slow locals as well. On-time running GMN locals are halted at Khar station for more than 10mins to let the late running BVI/VR slow services to pass.
Secondly Goregaon-Churchgate Slow services via Harbour line are only temporary and will get extended to Borivali in a couple of years as soon as harbour line gets extended to Borivali.
Boarding a Borivali-Churchgate local at Goregaon/Malad in the morning peak hours is near impossible. So these Goregaon/Malad semi fasts are the only option for commuters of these stations.
Snatching trains of GMN/MDD is not the solution for providing more services to VR passengers.
please wait...Translate to EnglishYo, it's mad easy to just ditch the Goregaon/Malad trains for Virar trains, but real talk, Virar/Vasai already got mad perks at the expense of Goregaon/Malad riders. A while back, there were plenty of BVI-CCG semi-fast trains from GMN/MDD, but now they slowed 'em down just for the VR trains. Morning rush hour is a mess with hardly any fast trains between 9 to 10 AM at these stations.
GMN/MDD semi-fast locals stay lagging 'cause of late VR/Vasai trains messin' up the schedule. And when VR trains run late, it's a domino effect on BVI semi-fast and slow trains, making even the GMN-CCG slow trains late as heck. GMN trains gotta chill at Khar station over 10 minutes so VR slow trains can pass.
Plus, the Goregaon-Churchgate Slow trains on the Harbour line are just temporary 'til they extend it to Borivali in a couple years. Tryna catch a Borivali-Churchgate train in the morning at Goregaon/Malad is a mission impossible, so those semi-fast trains are the only hope for peeps at these stations.
Snatchin' away GMN/MDD trains ain't gonna solve nothin' for VR passengers.
please wait...Translate to HindiBhai, bolna bahut aasan hai ki Goregaon/Malad locals ko scrap karke Virar locals ko adjust kar lenge, par sachai toh yahi hai ki Virar/Vasai ne Goregaon/Malad ke yatriyo ke kharche par kafi suvidha pa li hai. Kuch saalon pehle tak, GMN/MDD stations se bahut saari BVI-CCG semi fast services available thi, par ab VR locals ko clear rasta dene ke liye, in services ko slow services mein downgrade kar diya gaya hai. Itna hi nahi, subah ke peak hours mein bhi in stations par fast services ki sankhya bahut kam hai, khas kar 9 aur 10 baje ke beech.
Aur GMN/MDD ke semifast locals roz late hote hain Virar/Vasai locals ke late hone ke chalte, jisse yatra karne wale kam ho jaate hain. Late running VR locals BVI semi fast locals ko bhi prabhavit karte hain, jo BVI slow locals ko prabhavit karte hain, jisse GMN-CCG slow locals bhi delay ho jaate hain. Samay par chalne wali GMN locals ko Khar station par 10 minute se zyada tak rukna padta hai taaki late running BVI/VR slow services ko guzarne diya ja sake.
Dusri baat, Goregaon-Churchgate Slow services via Harbour line temporary hai aur yeh Borivali tak extend ho jayenge kuch saalon mein jab tak harbour line Borivali tak extend nahi ho jaati.
Subah ke peak hours mein Goregaon/Malad mein Borivali-Churchgate local mein sawari karna lagbhag na mumkin hai. Isliye, ye Goregaon/Malad semi fast trains hi in stations ke yatriyon ke liye ekmatra option hain.
GMN/MDD ke trains ko hatana, VR yatriyon ko aur suvidha dene ka solution nahi hai, bhai.
