* **Dhamtari-Pathalgaon-Lohardaga New Line Project (240 km):** Connecting important cities like Pathalgaon, Kunkuri, Jashpur Nagar, and Gumla. This project will link northern Chhattisgarh to Jharkhand and connect the industrial region of Korba to Lohardaga. The estimated cost is ₹16,000 crores.
* **Ambikapur-Barwadih New Line Project (200 km):** Connecting Ambikapur (northern Chhattisgarh) to Barwadih (Jharkhand), passing through Parsa, Rajpur, and Chandanpur. This will provide an alternate route for transporting coal and minerals from the north and east of India. The estimated cost is ₹9,000 crores.
* **Kharsia-Naya Raipur-Parmalkasa New Rail Line Project (277 km):** This project will provide an alternative route for evacuating coal from SECL and MCL coalfields in the western region of the country. It will bypass Bilaspur and Raipur stations and connect the Balodabazar area. The estimated cost is ₹8,000 crores.
* **Rawghat-Jagdalpur New Rail Line Project (140 km):** This project will extend the existing Dalli-Rajhara-Rawghat 95 km new railway line to Jagdalpur, promoting economic and social development in the tribal region. The line will offer a more efficient and environmentally friendly means of transporting iron ore from the mineral-rich region of Chhattisgarh to steel industries. The estimated cost is ₹3,500 crores.
The Railway Minister acknowledged the potential and benefits of the projects and promised to work on them swiftly.
