the first phase (Chikkamagaluru to Hadihalli, 9 km) is underway and expected to be completed by the end of 2024, costing ₹133.75 crore. The second phase (Hadihalli to Belur, 13 km) will cost ₹190 crore, and the final phase (Belur to Hassan) is estimated to cost ₹748.85 crore. Somanna also inspected the construction of the Hadihalli railway station building in Chikkamagaluru.
