Namma Metro close to finalising land acquisition plan for Phase 3

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is close to finalizing the land plan for the majority of Phase 3 of the Namma Metro, which is expected to open in 2028. Phase 3 includes two corridors: JP Nagar 4th Phase to Kempapura (32.15 km) and Hosahalli to Kadabagere (12.5 km). While...

the land plan for Corridor 1 was initially finalized, additional land is required for three stations: JP Nagar 5th Phase, Kamakhya Bus Depot, and Hosakerehalli. The BMRCL is working on acquiring these properties and will soon send a preliminary notification through the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB). The land acquisition costs are still being calculated and may vary from initial estimates due to changes in land-use patterns. The BMRCL is also studying the feasibility of building metro-cum-flyovers under Phases 3 and 3A. In Phase 3, two double-deck flyovers could be built: JP Nagar 4th Phase to Hebbal (29.2 km) and Hosahalli to Kadabagere (11.45 km). If approved, these flyovers would require the demolition of the Delmia Circle flyover and would run along the median, eliminating the need for private land acquisition. The BMRCL has awarded geotechnical investigation contracts for Rs 5.5 crore to build Phase 3's viaducts and stations. These reports will help determine the terrain, machinery required, and construction costs.

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) Namma Metro ka Phase 3 ka land plan almost final ho gaya hai, jo ki 2028 me open hone wala hai. Phase 3 me do corridors hain: JP Nagar 4th Phase se Kempapura (32.15 km) aur Hosahalli se Kadabagere (12.5 km). Pehle Corridor 1...

ka land plan finalize ho gaya tha, lekin three stations ke liye extra land chahiye: JP Nagar 5th Phase, Kamakhya Bus Depot aur Hosakerehalli. BMRCL abhi in properties ko acquire karne me laga hua hai aur jaldi hi Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) ke through preliminary notification bhejega. Land acquisition cost abhi calculate kiye jaa rahe hain aur land-use pattern me change hone ki wajah se initial estimate se alag ho sakte hain. BMRCL ab Phase 3 aur 3A me metro-cum-flyovers banane ki feasibility bhi study kar raha hai. Phase 3 me two double-deck flyovers ban sakte hain: JP Nagar 4th Phase se Hebbal (29.2 km) aur Hosahalli se Kadabagere (11.45 km). Agar approve ho gaya, to in flyovers ke liye Delmia Circle flyover ko demolish karna padega aur ye median ke saath chalenge, jisse private land acquire karne ki zarurat nahi padegi. BMRCL ne Phase 3 ke viaducts aur stations banane ke liye Rs 5.5 crore me geotechnical investigation contract award kar diye hain. In reports se terrain, machinery ki zarurat aur construction cost pata chalenge.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
