The inspection aimed to identify and clear illegal settlements in the vicinity of the track. DRM Himanshu Badoni ne railway security ko behtar karne ki jarurat par zor diya taki future incidents ko rok ja sake aur previous derailment attempts ki jaldi jaanch ho sake. Inspection ka maksad track ke aaspaas basne wali illegal settlements ko identify aur clear karna tha. Kanpur Police Commissioner, Akhil Kumar ne public ko assurance diya ki incident ki jaanch jari hai aur authorities Railways ke saath samayav karna hai taki future mein aise incidents na ho.
