Promises Unkept: Commuters Continue to Wait for Pune-Daund Local Train

maximum speed of 70 km/h, takes 1 hour and 45 minutes to cover the 74-km journey. This train stops at Hadapsar, 5 km short of Pune, forcing passengers to find alternate transport. Commuter demands include the launch of a local train service, designation of Daund as a Pune suburb, extension of the DEMU to Pune, reinstatement of pandemic-canceled trains, and introduction of two new trains between Daund and Pune. The slow progress and lack of a local train are causing significant inconvenience and frustration for daily commuters.

Local train na aane se daily commuters ko kaafi pareshani ho rahi hai.
