And innumerable tourists and pilgrims from Bengal visit Haridwar regularly and this train being a very good super fast train, people prefer this train to Doon Express. If you look at the availability status of berths in AC coaches, you will find that booking has in most of the cases gone into wait list all the way down to the last date for which reservation is available. Therefore augmenting this short train will enormously benefit the passengers at the same time enabling IR to earn more revenue.

reasons against to aungmentation
1) It can easily get at an average speed of 100-110 kmph byu WDM so if they will make it 22-24 coacher they have toh change its loco
2) RSA with UPASNA will need more rakes and that much rakes suddenly may not be possible they can provide only 1-3 coach with immediate effect thats all
3) new aungmentation will be:-
1) 2A+3A=1
2)3A=1
3)SL=4
4)PC
5)UR=2
but in it PC and 2A+3A coach will not be easily available
and if the aungmentation will increse then the have to increase the qoutas and train will be given more halts to cover the quotas all quotas cannot be given to HWH only

PS we need 22 coacher train but railway will face very much difficuliy in providing these trains extra coches :D
