Assuming you have understood the concept of #berthmultiplexing, please understand that had this ticket been booked for say JHS/CNB/LKO or any station before/just before the terminating station; the chances of confirmation would have been huge.

Now there is a hiccup to this. In trains like Rajdhani, you shall see that a berth is totally used up to its entirety. That is say in Howrah Rajdhani; if a berth has been earmarked for RS for journey leg HWH-MGS; it would also be subsequently earmarked for journey leg MGS-NDLS (RL). That is reservation would cease to exist right since ARP booking for the entire start-end stretch.
Hence it is important to understand and circumspect the booking allocation logic designed by CRIS for every individual train/s.
