I have became a fan of rail in this fashion.
In my childhood my family used to live in Chittoor town.For every summer holidays we used to come to our native place a small village 3 kms fm kuppam where the Bangalore-Chennai main line passes through.My native place situated on the chennai side of kuppam and all my relatives houses,fields are situated both the sides of the SBC-MAS main line within some 20-30 mtrs range.Even my lands are located within 15 mtrs range.
At that time iam very crazy about the trains passing...

through the express and the goods also.I used to watch the trains passing by and tell TA TA along with my friends to the passengers travelling by and for the goods train TA TA for the goods guard.I myself enjoyed a lot watching the trains.Whenever a loco honk is heard run upto the last mile of the boudary of track wait for the passing train and then tell bye bye to the passengers.....
At that period itself the Bangalore-Chennai line was double track with fully electrified one some 20 years back except some portion b/n Bisanattam & Kuppam.These r the trains running at that time i remember
1) Bangalore-Chennai Intercity.
2) Bangalore-Arakkonam Pasenger.
3)Nagercoil-Mumbai express.
4)Mysore-Chennai Shatabdi Express.
5)Bangalore-Chennai Brindavan Express.
May be other trains also running @ tht time i remember this much based on the timings. I was very crazy especially abt the Shatabdi exp i liked its speed old ICF golden color coaches blasting the tracks of kuppam.Now also the SHTBD following the same old schedule and after tht its the legendary Brindavan exp,Intercity famously known as "pattumani vandi"10'o clock train was more popular in my village.
Likewise every summer enjoying in the village with the paddy fields,lake,relatives,friends and passing express & goods trains.After that i have travelled in many express trains and gradually following every years rail budget improving my enthusiasm towards rail iam going to upload my journey with Indian Railways.............
