Meanwhile, in Kanpur, Ceigall India has started construction of the first pier cap for the 8.38 km long Line 2 of Kanpur Metro phase 1. The construction is part of Package KNPCC-12, near the Agriculture College Metro station. The project, costing ₹427.11 crore, is expected to be completed in 30 months. This package includes 2 elevated sections, connecting Double Pullia Ramp and Barra-8, with 4 elevated stations. Ceigall India began pier casting in June 2024 and started casting U-girders in July. Line 2 of Phase 1 is under construction, featuring 8 stations, with two firms handling the construction work.
