Nayi alignment 20 km ka longer detour hoga, par yeh existing mainline se faster route hoga, kyonki banker locomotives ko attach aur detach karne mein hone wala delay nahi hoga. Minister ne Pune aur Lonavala ke beech mein third aur fourth line banane ke proposal ko bhi approval diya hai, yeh existing double line ke UP side mein banaya jaayega jisse land acquisition kam hoga.
