were often surprising, with some claiming they were asleep and missed their station, others citing lack of transportation at night, and others suggesting that the penalty was cheaper than taking alternative transportation. Chain pulling is a serious offense with a ₹1000 fine or one year imprisonment, and can even prevent someone from getting a government job. Chain pulling is only permitted in emergencies, such as fire, disabled individuals unable to board, a child left behind, medical emergencies, or robbery/theft.

reasons bahut ajeeb the, kuchh kah rahe the ki woh so rahe the aur unka station nikal gaya, kuchh kah rahe the ki raat mein transport nahin milta, aur kuchh kah rahe the ki penalty, doosre transport ka kharcha se kam padta hai. Train mein chain pulling bahut bada crime hai, iske liye ₹1000 ka fine ya ek saal ki jail ho sakti hai, aur isse aapko government job bhi nahin mil sakti. Chain pulling sirf emergency mein kar sakte hain, jaise ki aag, disabled logon ka train mein nahin chadhna, bacche ka station par chhut jaana, medical emergency, ya loot/chorhi.
