eight hours, making the average speed of the freight train 75 kilometers per hour. This is faster than the Prayagraj Express, which travels between Prayagraj and New Delhi at an average speed of 70 kilometers per hour. The Managing Director of DFCCIL, Ravindra Kumar Jain, congratulated the officials and employees for this achievement. He also revealed that on July 16th, a freight train covered a distance of 623 kilometers from Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction to New Tundla without stopping, though this journey took 10.26 hours. Officials said that the plan is to run four to five super crack trains (non-stop freight trains) daily on the EDFC. The EDFC will play a crucial role in reducing rush on railway tracks during the 2025 Maha Kumbh. The Managing Director informed that on July 7th, 711 freight trains were interchanged with Indian Railways, with 434 trains interchanged on the EDFC and 277 on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.
