Search operations are continuing in other coaches. The accident disrupted train services on the Gonda-Gorakhpur rail line, with eight coaches derailing between Motiganj and Jhilahi stations. However, restoration work is underway, and rail services are expected to resume later in the evening. A high-level investigation has been ordered by the Ministry of Railways, in addition to the mandatory Railway Safety Commissioner's investigation. The families of the deceased will receive a compensation of Rs. 10 lakh, while seriously injured passengers will be given Rs. 2.5 lakh and those with minor injuries will receive Rs. 50,000.
