The allocation for the North Eastern Railway (NER) will be revealed with the release of the Pink Book. Comparing this budget to the previous government, Uttar Pradesh received 11 times more than the ₹1109 crores allocated by the Congress government. Uttarakhand also received a substantial allocation. The Railway Minister highlighted the implementation of 'Kavach' (version 4), a safety system. In the last 10 years, 4900 kilometers of track were laid in Uttar Pradesh, exceeding the total length of Switzerland's railway network. All railway tracks in the state have been electrified, and 1490 flyovers/underpasses were built, improving rural life and reducing accidents. Special trains will be operated for the upcoming Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, with over 40 projects identified to ensure a smooth pilgrimage. The Prayagraj Railway Station will undergo redevelopment in phases. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister is personally reviewing the preparations, and feedback from representatives is being collected to ensure a flawless Kumbh Mela.
