Commissioner Amitesh Kumar and Additional Commissioner Manoj Patil, have been instrumental in this initiative, collaborating with the Rickshaw Union. The service will be on a trial run for three months and offers incentives for rickshaw owners including a monthly gas filling coupon worth ₹1000, two uniforms, and reasonably priced spare parts. While several officials from Pune Police, RTO, and local politicians were present at the launch, surprisingly, no senior railway officials attended. This absence was viewed with disappointment by attendees, highlighting a perceived lack of concern for customer satisfaction from the railway authorities.
