Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager of South Eastern Zone Railway, after inspecting the accident site. According to the GM, 17 coaches of the Mumbai Mail derailed. He mentioned two passengers died and eight were injured. The injured passengers were admitted to Chakradharpur Railway Division Hospital. The GM stated that the Railway Safety Team will investigate the incident. Other departments are currently engaged in relief and restoration efforts.

Rail GM Anil Kumar Mishra ne yeh jaankari di. GM ke anusar Mumbai Mail ke 17 coach patari se utre hain. Unhone bataya ki do passengers ki maut hui hai, jabki aath passengers zakhmi hue hain. Passengers ko Chakradharpur Rail Mandal Hospital mein bharti karaaya gaya hai. GM ne kaha ki ghatna ki jaanch Railway Safety Team karegi. Anya vibhag abhi rahat aur parichalan shuru karane mein jute hain.
