National Meat Research Institute in Hyderabad for analysis. The institute confirmed the meat was from Ovis aries (sheep). Meanwhile, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has emphasized that all meat shops in Bengaluru require a trade license and are subject to regular inspections by health and animal husbandry officials to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper waste disposal.
