The renovation should include waiting rooms, stairs, induction boards, inquiry rooms, telephone facilities, amenities for the differently-abled, drinking water, sanitation, and lighting. Bermo station, originally built during the British era, was once well-equipped but was demolished by CCL for coal mining. Despite being busy with eight train halts, the station lacks basic amenities like a shed for passenger protection, a canteen or hotel. The station serves a large population from surrounding villages, including Chalakari, Jaridiha Bazaar, Ramnagar, Subhashnagar, Karo, Amlo, and Sunday Bazaar.

JMM neta Kashinath Kewat ne Pradhan Mantri Narendra Modi aur Rail Mantri Ashwini Vaishnaw ko patra preshit kar Bermo Railway Station ko Amrit Bharat Station yojana ke tahat jodkar jirnodhar karne ki maang ki hai. Kayakalp ke liye praitikshalay room, seedhiyan, induction board, inquiry room, telephone suvidha, divyango ke liye suvidha, peene ka pani, safai aur light suvidha railway station par ki jaye. Bermo station, British kal mein banaya gaya tha, apne sthapna kal se bahut sundar tha. Platform samay sary suvidhae thi. Lekin baad mein CCL ne koyla khanan ke liye is station ko tod diya aur tab se yeh station apni dasha pe aansu baha raha hai. Yeh station trainon ke parichalan ki drishti se kaafi vyast hai. Yaha lagbhag aath trainon ka thahrav hota hai. Is station ka jirnodhar aur soundaryikaran bahut jaruri hai. Is station se sarkar ko pratimash lakhon ki aamdani hoti hai. Bermo station se Chalakari samay kai gaonon ke sath-sath Jaridiha Bazaar, Ramnagar, Subhashnagar, Karo, Amlo, Sunday Bazaar aur aaspaas ke ilaake ke log yaatra karte hain. Station mein shed tak nahi hai jis se yaatri barsaat ya dhoop se bach sake. Station parisar mein chai-nashte ke liye ek bhi canteen ya hotel nahi hai.
