The tunnel construction involves a 'Y' shaped track that allows trains from Ballāṛśā to split towards Kājīpēṭ and Warangal. Trains coming from Hasanparthi Road towards Warangal will remain on the surface level while trains heading towards Kājīpēṭ and Sikandrabad will enter the tunnel at Komaṭipalli. The tunnel will then descend 350 meters underground before re-emerging at Vaḍḍēpalli, thereby eliminating the need for crossing trains and significantly improving travel times.
