A new underground rail tunnel is being constructed near Komaṭipalli, close to the Kājīpēṭ Railway Junction, which is a major gateway for north and south India. be running through the tunnel, resolving the existing crossing issues at the junction. The tunnel is a part of the Kājīpēṭ-Ballāṛśā rail line, specifically between Komaṭipalli and Vaḍḍēpalli Filter Bed, and is estimated to cost ₹32 crore. The tunnel aims to alleviate congestion and reduce travel time, particularly for trains coming from Delhi and Ballāṛśā heading towards Kājīpēṭ and Sikandrabad. Currently, trains are often held up in the Vaḍḍēpalli area due to congestion, especially when goods trains from Warangal are passing through. The tunnel construction involves a 'Y' shaped track that allows trains from Ballāṛśā to split towards Kājīpēṭ and Warangal. Trains coming from Hasanparthi Road towards Warangal will remain on the surface level while trains heading towards Kājīpēṭ and Sikandrabad will enter the tunnel at Komaṭipalli. The tunnel will then descend 350 meters underground before re-emerging at Vaḍḍēpalli, thereby eliminating the need for crossing trains and significantly improving travel times.

Kājīpēṭ railway junction ke paas, Komaṭipalli mein, north aur south India ke liye ek major gateway hai, yahan ek underground rail tunnel ban raha hai. Ye 350 meter ka tunnel August ke end tak ban jaayega aur usme trial run bhi ho jaayenge. September tak, trains is tunnel se chalna start...
