in 1926 from Messrs John Fowler Company Leeds (England) for ₹14,125. It had a track gauge of 2 feet, a speed of 7 miles per hour, and could carry 7 tons of weight. The engine was used to connect the Nainital Valley to the Tramway train via Lal Kuan and Chorgalia. The engine served the Forest Department from 1926 to 1937, transporting valuable teakwood for gunstocks, particularly during World War I.
