Kolkata Metro's Yellow Line construction is progressing, with the Airport to Birati section nearing completion. was eventually granted. The construction is being tendered by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited. The entire Airport to Barasat route is 11 km long, with an estimated cost of 13,320 crores. Despite only 200 crores allocated in the 2024 budget, the target is to finish the Airport to Barasat section by early 2027. To ensure safety, especially near the airport, the construction within the airport boundary will be done using reinforced cement concrete, and a box-pushing method will be employed instead of tunnel boring machines. Once completed, this line will significantly improve connectivity and reduce overcrowding on local trains, particularly during peak hours. The four stations on this segment are ready for passenger transportation, with trial runs already underway. Commercial operation is expected to begin within a few months, subject to approval from the Commissioner of Railway Safety.

but permission mil gaya. Construction Rail Vikas Nigam Limited tender kar raha hai. Poora Airport se Barasat tak ka route 11 km long hai, jiska estimated cost 13,320 crores hai. 2024 budget mein sirf 200 crores allocate kiya gaya hai, lekin target hai ki Airport se Barasat section early 2027 tak finish ho jaye. Safety ke liye, especially airport ke pass, airport boundary ke andar ka construction reinforced cement concrete se kiya jayega, and tunnel boring machines ki jagah box-pushing method use kiya jayega. Ye line complete hone pe connectivity bahut improve ho jayegi, aur local trains mein overcrowding kam ho jayega, especially peak hours mein. Is section ke chaar stations passengers ke liye ready hai, trial runs bhi start ho gaye hai. Commercial operation aage aane wale kuchh mahino mein start hone ki umeed hai, jab Commissioner of Railway Safety se approval mil jayega.
