Notably, the Ajanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site, will be connected to the railway network, attracting more tourists. These lines are crucial for transporting agricultural products, fertilizer, coal, iron ore, steel, cement, bauxite, limestone, aluminum powder, granite, ballast, and containers, with expected freight traffic increases of 143 MTPA. The projects will contribute to environmental goals by reducing oil imports and carbon emissions, equivalent to planting 3.5 crore trees.
