The pipe is located near the Patratu railway crossing and is close to the railway track. The cause of the pipe break is unclear. Some workers believe it was damaged by a JCB machine used for overbridge construction. However, the construction company claims they did not break the pipe. Due to the broken pipe, water supply has been disrupted to several CCL colonies, including Bhurakunda River Side, Barkakana, AK Colliery, Central Sonda, Giddi, and others. MLA Amba Prasad met with the General Manager of Barka Sayal after inspecting the broken pipe, discussing various issues of the Barka Sayal region, and the water shortage. The General Manager assured the MLA that the water problem would be resolved within one or two days.

Kuchh workers ka kehna hai ki overbridge construction karne wali company ki JCB machine se yeh pipe phuta hai. Par, construction company kehta hai ki unhone pipe ko nahin toda. Is pipe ke phutne se, Bhurakunda River Side, Barkakana, AK Colliery, Central Sonda, Giddi, aur aur bhi kai CCL colonies mein pani ki supply band ho gayi hai. MLA Amba Prasad ne broken pipe ko dekhne ke baad Barka Sayal ke General Manager, Ajay Kumar Singh se meeting ki, jismein Barka Sayal area ki different problems aur pani ki problem pe baat hui. General Manager ne kaha ki ek ya do din mein pani ki problem solve ho jaayegi.
