100 trains every 24 hours, leading to delays and congestion. The new platforms will accommodate 24-coach trains. The project includes demolition of existing structures, including parts of the main building and railway quarters, to make space for the expansion. A multi-level car parking was initially planned but has been dropped from the project. The design for the revamp has gone through several revisions and the project was stalled for a year pending approval. The project is now moving forward with the verbal approval of the Railway Minister.

aur 24 hours mein 100 se zyada trains yahan se guzarti hain. Is wajah se trains ko platform milne mein der hoti hai, aur unhe bahar wait karna padta hai. New platforms 24 coach ki trains ko handle kar sakenge. Is project mein kuch buildings bhi todni padegi, jaise ki main building ka ek hissa aur railway quarters, isse space banayega expansion ke liye. Pehle ek multi-level car parking banane ka plan tha, lekin ab woh cancel ho gaya hai. Design bahut baar change hua hai aur project ek saal tak approval ke liye stuck raha. Ab railway minister ne verbally approve kar diya hai, to project aage badhega.
