They are vigilant against any attempts of illegal entry from Bangladesh. Two ATS teams are monitoring these railway stations. Furthermore, authorities are investigating networks involved in bringing individuals from Bangladesh into India illegally, and are monitoring inter-state buses originating from Bihar, Jharkhand, and Kolkata. Eight individuals were arrested by the ATS between 2021 and 2024 for allegedly bringing Bangladeshis to India illegally. Two people, involved in making fake documents for Bangladeshi citizens, are currently on bail. The ATS is closely monitoring these individuals and their associates.
