Detailed Project Report (DPR), which will determine the exact route, length, and locations of the stations, bridges, and underpasses. The survey is expected to be completed within 4 to 5 months, after which the land acquisition process will begin. The new line is intended to revive a previously existing narrow-gauge line that operated from the 1930s to the 1970s and was discontinued in the late 1970s. The line is expected to reduce travel time between Ujjain and Delhi.
