15,000 existing engines, and ergonomic seats are being added to older engines. However, toilets cannot be installed in older engines due to design complexities. AC has been installed in all 558 retiring rooms across India, along with foot massagers and kitchen improvements. Locomotive pilots face challenges like extended night duty and long hours, with 68.1% working for 9 hours, 17.2% for 9-11 hours, and 8% for over 12 hours. A six-member committee has been formed to address this issue. Fatigue, sleep deprivation, and stress are concerns for pilots due to long hours and lack of adequate rest. lag chuka hai, aur purane engines mein ergonomic seats lagaye ja rahe hain. Purane engines mein toilets nahi lagaye ja sakte hain, design complexity ki wajah se. 558 retiring rooms mein AC lag chuka hai, foot massagers bhi hai, aur khana banane wale kitchen mein bhi improvement kiya ja raha hai. Locomotive pilots ko lagbhag 12 ghante tak train chalani padti hai, jisse unki neend pura nahi ho pati. Isse thakavt, stress, aur focus ki kami hoti hai. Is issue ko address karne ke liye ek committee banayi gayi hai. Locomotive pilots ki kami ko door karne ke liye, Railway Board ne 18,799 assistant locomotive pilots ki recruitment ka aadesh diya hai. Isse human error se hone wale accidents mein kami aayegi.
