Indian Railways has approved three new rail lines in Jharkhand and Odisha, boosting development in several districts and creating jobs. The lines will also enhance connectivity between the Tata and Ranchi industrial clusters, making travel easier between Bengal and Bihar to Jharkhand's Santhal Pargana region. The new lines will cut the distance between Tata and Ranchi/Kharagpur by 30 km, making transportation faster and cheaper. These projects, costing 6294 crore rupees, are expected to create 76 lakh man-days of employment and reduce carbon emissions by 259 crore kilos. The new rail lines are: * **Badampahar-Kendujhargarh:** 82.06 km, covering Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts in Odisha. Cost: 1875.72 crore rupees. * **Bangriposi-Gorumahisani:** 85.60 km, covering Mayurbhanj district in Odisha. Cost: 2269.49 crore rupees. * **Buramara-Chakulia:** 59.96 km, covering Mayurbhanj district in Odisha and East Singhbhum district in Jharkhand. Cost: 1459.13 crore rupees.
