majority still run on passenger tracks. This will change soon, with the goal of moving all freight to the DFC within the next six months. The DFC runs from Sahnewal in Punjab to Son Nagar in Bihar. Two new power stations are being built to enhance capacity and speed on the DFC.

Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) pe jaldi hi saare maalgaadi shift ho jaayenge. Isse passenger trains ko bada rahat milega. Abhi tak average 50 maalgaadi DFC pe chal rahi hain. Isse unke running time mein aur badhotri hogi. New train chalane ki umeed badhegi. Punjab ke Sahnewal se Bihar ke Son Nagar tak EDFC corridor bichaya gaya hai. Khurja se Sahnewal tak track chal raha hai. Filhaal track pe maalgaadi ka chalane toh ho raha hai lekin division mein chalne wali zyadatar maalgaadi passenger track pe hi chal rahi hain.
