pilot, Mahadeva bravely ran for almost 500 meters towards the oncoming train and successfully stopped it. After fixing the faulty weld, the Rajdhani Express continued its journey towards Thiruvananthapuram. For his quick thinking and bravery, Mahadeva was praised and awarded Rs. 15,000 by the Konkan Railway's CMD, Santosh Kumar Jha.

hoke 500 meter tak train ki taraf bhaaga aur use rukva diya. Welding thik karne ke baad, Rajdhani Express Thiruvananthapuram ki taraf jaa payi. Mahadeva ki bravery ke liye unhe Konkan Railway ke CMD, Santosh Kumar Jha ne 15,000 rupees diye.
