Prof. Kumari stated that Pachamba is an old city with a dense population and numerous surrounding villages. While the Intercity Express passes through Salaiya Station, it does not stop, depriving thousands of people from its benefits. They demanded that the train be stopped at Salaiya Station, a demand that has persisted since its operation began. They also argued that the name Salaiya is not well-known, with the station actually being situated in Pachamba, thus advocating for its renaming. The protesters warned of a larger movement if their demands were not met.
