Rahul's mother, Rina Devi, said that her son was going to the market in Phusbangla from their home in Ayodhya Nagari when he was hit by the rear wheel of the truck. Rahul's father, Indrajit Paswan, took him to Dhanbad for treatment with the help of locals. The Jodapokhar police arrived at the scene and took possession of the bike (registration number not provided) and the truck (JH 10 CB 5230). Former councilor Manoj Sav, who led the road blockade, demanded that the transporter provide full medical treatment and compensation to the injured. The police took everyone to the station and cleared the road after about an hour of blockage.

Rahul ki maa, Rina Devi ne bataya ki unka beta Ayodhya Nagari se apna ghar se Phusbangla market jane ke liye gaya tha jab woh truck ke pichhle chakke se takkar maar gaya. Rahul ke papa, Indrajit Paswan, local logo ki madad se Dhanbad mein treatment karane le gaye. Jodapokhar police waha pahuchi aur bike (registration number nahin diya gaya) aur truck (JH 10 CB 5230) ko apne kabze mein le liya. Purva councilor Manoj Sav, jo road blockade ka netritva kar rahe the, ne maang ki transporter zakhmi ko pura medical treatment aur muavza de. Police ne sabhi ko station le gaye aur karīb ek ghante ke jam ke baad road ko clear kiya.
