Previously, the NCR Prayagraj division was credited with operating the first 24-coach train (Prayagraj Express) and the first 24-coach LHB (Prayagraj Express) train in the country. This new 20-coach Vande Bharat Express is the first of its kind in India, as all previous Vande Bharat trains had either 8 or 16 coaches.

Isse pehle, desh ki pehli 24 coach ki (Prayagraj Express) aur desh ki pehli 24 coach ki LHB (Prayagraj Express) train chalane ka gaurav bhi NCR Prayagraj mandal ke pass hai. Uttar Railway ke CPRO Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay ka kehna hai ki Varanasi-Delhi Vande Bharat ab 20 coach ki hogi. Yeh desh ki pehli 20 coach ki Vande Bharat Express hai. Ab tak sabhi Vande Bharat ya to 8 coach ki thi ya fir 16 coach ki thi.
