Mumbai: Western Railway To Introduce 12 New Suburban Services From October As Mumbai Central Division Of Gears Up For Expansion

The proposal also includes upgrading 10 existing services from 12-car to 15-car rakes and rerouting some suburban services, including those on the CSMT-Borivali Harbour route, to the Churchgate-Virar route. The 12 new services will operate on different routes, including Dadar-Virar, Virar-Churchgate, Borivali-Churchgate, Churchgate-Andheri, Churchgate-Goregaon, and Churchgate-Nalasopara. Additionally, operational changes for 16 other suburban services are proposed to reduce travel time and enhance connectivity.

Goregaon aur Kandivali ke beech chal rahe six-line work ke khatam hone par nirbhar karta hai, jiske October ki pahli hafta tak khatam hone ki ummeed hai. Proposal mein 10 existing services ko 12-car se badhakar 15-car rakes mein upgrade karna aur kuchh suburban services ko reroute karna bhi shamil hai, jisme CSMT-Borivali Harbour route ki services ko Churchgate-Virar route par reroute karna bhi shamil hai. Ye 12 nayi services alag-alag routes par chalengi, jisme Dadar-Virar, Virar-Churchgate, Borivali-Churchgate, Churchgate-Andheri, Churchgate-Goregaon aur Churchgate-Nalasopara bhi shamil hai. Iske alawa, 16 aur suburban services ke liye operational changes ka proposal hai, jiska maksad travel time kam karna aur connectivity badhana hai.
