The station's passenger count and revenue have been steadily increasing, with 1.30 crore passengers using it in 2023-24, generating revenue of 591.94 crore rupees. A new building costing approximately 500 crore rupees is under construction to accommodate future needs and will include modern amenities. Is dauraan station ne 591.94 crore rupees ka revenue earn kiya, jo ise arthik drushtikon se bhi mahatvpurn banata hai. Gorakhpur Junction ke vikas ke tahat ek naya bhavan bhi banaya ja raha hai, jiska cost lagabhag 500 crore rupees hai. NSG-1 category mein shamil hone se Gorakhpur station par passenger facilities mein bada investment hoga, jisse passengers ko aur behtar services milengi. Yeh upgrade na sirf local passengers ke liye balki pure North Eastern Railway network ke liye ek mahatvpurn kadam hai.
