Malabar Express at 136 years old, the West Coast Express (Mangalore-Chennai) at 59 years old, and the Parashuram Express at 54 years old. The Venad Express, launched in 1972, is 52 years old, while the Mangalore-Thiruvananthapuram Express (16347/16348) is 40 years old. Other trains mentioned include the Vanchinad Express (1985) at 39 years old, the Maveli Express at 23 years old, the Jan Shatabdi Express (introduced in 2003), the Garib Rath Express (introduced in 2006), MEMU (introduced in 2012), Antyodaya Express and Humsafar Express (introduced in 2016), and the Vande Bharat Express (introduced in 2023).
