Officials claim that unlike other stations, Payyoli lacks a special signal system for halting trains and that the loco pilot couldn't see the station due to heavy rain. To compensate, the Railways arranged transport for the passengers from Vadakara to Payyoli and are implementing measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. The Railways has expressed regret for the inconvenience.

jhadiyaan itni ghandi thi ki passengers wahaan se utar nahi sake. Most passengers Vadakara station pe utar gaye, jahaan pe unhone station master ko complain ki. Officials kehta hai ki Payyoli mein, aur stations ki tarah, train ko rokne ka koi special signal system nahi hai aur heavy rain ki wajah se loco pilot station dekh nahi paya. Compensation ke liye, Railways ne Vadakara se Payyoli tak passengers ke liye transport arrange kiya hai aur aise incidents ko future mein hone se rokne ke liye measures liye ja rahe hain. Railways ne incident ke liye maaf mangi hai.
