Karnataka's Infrastructure Development Minister M B Patil held a review meeting with South Western Railway officials to discuss the progress of several railway projects. The review also discussed the 242 km double track between Gadag-Hotgi, the 45 km double track between Bagalkote and Kudachi, issues with bridges in the Almatti backwater region, delays in starting the Vande Bharat train to Vijayapura, and problems at Hubballi South Railway Station. Patil said that resolving these issues could cut travel time from Bengaluru to Vijayapura to about 10 hours. He also discussed plans to meet with the Union Minister of State for Railways V Somanna soon.

Review mein 242 km double track Gadag-Hotgi, 45 km double track Bagalkote aur Kudachi, Almatti backwater region mein small bridges related issues, Vijayapura ke liye Vande Bharat train start karne mein delays, aur Hubballi South Railway Station ke infrastructure issues par bhi baat hui. Patil ne bataya ki in issues ko solve karne se Bengaluru se Vijayapura tak ka travel time 10 hours tak kam ho sakta hai. Unhone Union Minister of State for Railways V Somanna se jaldi hi milne ka plan bhi bataya.
