manufactured in Germany, arrived in Kolkata in late July and will be installed over the next two years. The project has already started at Girish Park and Maidan stations with installation underway between Girish Park and Mahatma Gandhi Road stations. This upgrade will also reduce carbon emissions and maintenance requirements, improving air quality in the tunnels. Kolkata Metro's transition to aluminum rails aligns it with global metro systems and signifies a step towards a more efficient and environmentally friendly urban transportation system.

Is upgrade se carbon emissions bhi kam honge aur maintenance bhi kam karna padega, jisse tunnels mein air quality improve hogi. Kolkata Metro ka aluminum rails pe switch karna, global metro systems se alignment karta hai aur efficient aur environmentally friendly urban transportation system ki taraf ek kadam hai.
