They also demand extensions for existing trains and a new train service connecting Rameswaram, Paramakudi, Manamadurai, Aruppukottai, Virudhunagar, and Rajapalayam to Thiruvananthapuram. Additionally, they have asked for a train stop at Tiruchuzhi and a ticket booking centre to be established there.
