Mumbai local train update: Boulder falls on railway tracks near Aatgaon, trains services between Kasara-Mumbai affected

On Wednesday evening, a boulder fell on the Mumbai-bound track between Aatgaon and Asangaon stations, disrupting train services between Kasara and Mumbai. 12108 Sitapur-LTT Express. While trains heading towards Kasara were operating normally, the UP line towards Mumbai remained closed for debris removal. Meanwhile, the Central Railway announced the addition of four general coaches to 84 mail/express trains to address overcrowding in general compartments. This decision follows complaints about packed general compartments, including an incident on August 5th where technical issues caused disruptions and overcrowding at Thakurli railway station.

Shirdi-CSMT Vande Bharat Express, 11072 Ballia-LTT Kamayani Express, aur 12108 Sitapur-LTT Express bhi include hain. Kasara ki taraf jaane wali trains normal chal rahi thi, lekin Mumbai ki taraf jaane wali UP line debris removal ke liye band thi. Iske beech, Central Railway ne 84 mail/express trains mein four general coaches add karne ka announcement kiya, taaki general compartments mein overcrowding ko handle kiya ja sake. Yeh decision general compartments mein over-crowding ke complaints ke baad aaya hai, jisme 5 August ka ek incident bhi include hai, jisme technical issues ki wajah se disruptions aur Thakurli railway station pe overcrowding hua tha.
