Railway trial run on Pamban Bridge successful

Southern Railway successfully conducted a trial run on the new Pamban railway sea bridge on Sunday evening, operating an OHE (overhead equipment) tower car across the bridge to Rameswaram station. 2022 due to excessive vibrations detected by IIT Madras experts. The new bridge construction began in 2019. The successful trial run with the OHE tower car will be followed by trials with goods carriers and empty coaches. Railway officials are aiming to complete construction before September and resume train services to Rameswaram from October 1st.

Purane bridge ko December 2022 mein band kar diya gaya tha, kyunki IIT Madras ke experts ne usme zyada vibrations detect ki thi. Naye bridge ka construction 2019 mein shuru hua tha. OHE tower car ke saath successful trial run ke baad, goods carriers aur empty coaches ke saath aage trial run kiye jaayenge. Railway officials September se pehle construction complete karne ka target rakh rahe hain aur October 1 se Rameswaram ke liye train service shuru karne ki plan bana rahe hain.
