The minister emphasized that the central government is committed to cooperative federalism and has allocated funds for projects, but land acquisition delays are hindering progress. Regarding the demand for general coaches, the minister stated that 2,500 additional coaches are being manufactured currently, with another 10,000 planned for the next two to three years. This increase in coaches will be added to existing trains to meet the demand, which is expected to decrease significantly once the additional coaches are fully utilized. The minister also highlighted the increase in average annual budget outlay for railway projects in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, comparing the current allocation to the previous UPA government's tenure.

Minister ne emphasis kiya ki central government cooperative federalism ke principles pe kaam kar raha hai aur projects ke liye funds allocate kar diya hai, lekin land acquisition mein delay se progress ruk raha hai. General coaches ki demand ke baare mein, minister ne bataya ki 2,500 additional coaches abhi banaye ja rahe hain, aur aagle do-teen saal mein 10,000 aur banaye jaayenge. Ye coaches existing trains mein add kiye jaayenge, jisse demand kam hone ki ummeed hai jab ye coaches fully utilized ho jaayenge. Minister ne TN aur Kerala mein railway projects ke liye average annual budget outlay mein increase bhi highlighted kiya, aur isko pehle UPA government ke tenure se compare kiya.
