The project engineer, Vishnu, confirmed the initiation of work, highlighting the ongoing excavation for pillar construction. The renovated station will boast improved lighting, a modern waiting room, a cafeteria, retail outlets, updated furniture, wider access roads, parking facilities, green spaces, a 12-meter wide overbridge, automatic electric stairs for the elderly and disabled, CCTV cameras, and free Wi-Fi.
